Dear Clear Creek Schools District Community Members,
This annual report provides us with the opportunity to take a look back over the past year and reflect upon our accomplishments, as well as share our goals for the coming school year.
The School Accountability Report cards were recently released by the Colorado Department of Education and the positive achievement of our students is quite evident. All schools within the Clear Creek School District Re-1 met the formulaic requirements known as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as part of the No Child Left Behind federal legislation. Clear Creek High School has been rated by the Colorado State Department of Education as a High Performing School. King-Murphy Elementary School earned an excellent rating from the State with stable student achievement levels. Clear Creek Middle School and Carlson Elementary School, each earned an average overall academic performance rating on the state assessments. The Georgetown Community School, earned an average rating as well, based on their CSAP test results from last year.
In Clear Creek County we are truly blessed with:
Highly-qualified, knowledgeable educators who are dedicated to providing a superior learning experience and making a difference for our students each and every day;
A variety of ways to recognize student achievement through academics, after-school programs, extra-curricular activities, and athletic programs;
Supportive parents and community members that take pride in the quality of our school district (as evidenced by, but not limited to, our Building Accreditation and Accountability Committees, Parent-Teacher Organizations, Clear Creek Booster Club, Clear Creek Educational Foundation, District Accreditation and Accountability Committee, Clear Creek Safety Committee, and the Clear Creek School District Marketing Committee);
A spectacular blend of diversity that provides our students with academic experiences necessary to become successful in an ever-changing world; and
Collaborative community cultures which allow school, towns, and agency leaders to work together for the benefit of our children.
Through the hard work and dedication of our employees, and the leadership of our administrators and members of our Board of Education, we will achieve our goals of encouraging the active involvement of parents and community members in the daily lives of our students and demanding academic excellence in every classroom everyday. As our school district mission states, together we can close the existing learning gaps and raise achievement levels “by assuring that all individuals develop the attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary to live happy, productive lives as citizens of the community, the state, the nation, and the world.
Best Regards,
Jake Dingman
Interim Superintendent of Schools
