Summer Enrichment Opportunities

  • Summer Discovery: Summer Discovery is a pre-college enrichment program for high school and middle school students that combines academics with fun, activities, and sports. Students experience college life while gaining independence, self-confidence, and social skills. Courses are taught by university instructors and students live on campus, exploring university towns for a robust, complete pre-college summer experience.

  • Oxbridge Academic Programs: Oxbridge Academic Programs has been welcoming intellectually adventurous students to summer study programs since 1986. Professor James Basker designed these programs for students in grades 7-12 with the goal of giving them the opportunity to live and study in historic centers of learning. Today we offer programs in England, France, Spain, and the United States. Students choose two subjects in which to immerse themselves - a major and a minor - from a range of over 200 courses. Popular options include Medicine, Law, Business, and Psychology.

  • SUMMET (CO School of Mines): SUMMET combines course work, hands-on projects, industry tours, sporting activities and social events. This program provides exposure to the lifestyle, opportunities and challenges of college to help build skills and experiences for a smooth transition in the future. SUMMET students stay in Mines’ residence halls, experience life as a college student and participate in STEM related curriculum instruction.
